Measured, not claimed
Automated checks plus manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, with every finding tied to its criterion in EN 301 549.
We test your site or store against EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA, deliver a report prioritised by severity, quote the remediation from that report at a fixed price, and write the conformance statement you publish.
The European Accessibility Act has applied since 28 June 2025. It covers e-commerce and consumer-facing services, which in practice means online stores, booking and ordering flows, and customer accounts. Germany implements it through the BFSG, and the other member states through their own national laws.
Conformance is not a matter of opinion: it is measured against EN 301 549, which for web content points to WCAG 2.1 level AA. Penalties exist and are set nationally, with market surveillance handled by each country's own authority.
For an operator that translates into something concrete. The checkout has to be completable with a keyboard alone, error messages have to be announced to a screen reader, contrast has to hold, and the state of all of it has to be documented rather than assumed.
Service providers have a microenterprise exemption: fewer than 10 staff and no more than 2 million euros in annual turnover. Below that line a service provider is outside the obligation, though companies grow into it and the exemption does not cover every arrangement.
We will tell you honestly in the first call whether the work is worth doing for you right now. Whether your particular service falls under the law is a question for your legal adviser, not for us. Our part is the technical one: the measurement, the fixes and the documentation.
Obligation aside, there is a plainer reason. A checkout that cannot be completed with a keyboard loses orders from people who intended to buy.
On most websites accessibility is sold as an intention. Here it is a delivery, with a report, a price and something you can publish.
| Step | What you get | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Audit | Automated checks plus manual testing with keyboard and screen reader across your most important flows. A report prioritised by severity, each finding tied to its EN 301 549 criterion with a concrete fix. | 1 to 2 weeks |
| Remediation | A quote written from the report: effort per finding, ordered by impact, at a fixed price. You decide how much of it to commission. | scope dependent |
| Conformance statement | A publishable page stating the level of conformance, the known limitations and a feedback route for users. | with the remediation |
| Re-checks | Re-testing after significant changes, so new content does not quietly undo what was fixed. Runs inside the care plan. | ongoing |
An audit starts from €900. The price follows the number of flows tested rather than the number of pages: a checkout, a customer account and a contact route tell you more about a site's accessibility than a hundred text pages do.
Remediation is quoted only after the audit, because before it nobody can honestly say what it costs. You then get a fixed price broken down by finding, and you can commission part of it. Where a finding comes from work we built ourselves, it is fixed at no cost.
New builds carry the baseline anyway: what every build includes. After launch, re-checks run inside the care plan.
We do not install an overlay script that puts a toolbar on the page and calls it accessibility. Those tools change nothing about what the standard actually tests, and nothing about the experience of the people the law was written for. Findings are fixed in the code or they are not fixed.
And we do not give legal advice. Whether your offering is in scope, which deadlines apply to you and how the statement should be worded in the end is for your legal adviser. We supply the measurement, the fixes, the documentation and a draft your adviser can approve.
If you are rebuilding anyway, do it now: accessibility built in costs a fraction of accessibility retrofitted. Market pages and prices are here for the UK and Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium, the Nordics and Italy.
Automated checks plus manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, with every finding tied to its criterion in EN 301 549.
The quote comes out of the report: effort per finding, ordered by impact. You commission as much of it as you want to.
A conformance statement with the level reached, the known limitations and a feedback route, plus re-checks inside the care plan.
These are not marketing lines. They are the terms that go into every quote we send, so you know exactly what you get and when.
Every message is answered by the engineer who will build the project, not by a salesperson. The fixed written quote follows within two working days of the first call.
The quote lists everything included, and the price you sign is the price you pay. Scope changes are quoted separately, before they happen.
Business website: 3 to 5 weeks. Online store: 5 to 8 weeks. Web app or custom software: a first working version within 4 to 6 weeks, the rest on a written plan.
You see and approve the design on screen before a line of code is written. Two rounds of design revisions are included, and so are small content changes such as text, photos and prices for 30 days after launch.
Half at the start, half at go-live. Projects above three thousand euros are split into three milestones tied to deliverables, never paid in full up front.
Domain, accounts and content are registered in your name, and the code lives in your repository from the first commit under a full licence to use it. Every remaining right transfers on final payment. No mandatory subscription, no locked code, no hostage situation.
Any defect found within 30 days of launch is fixed at no cost. The site ships inside the performance budget written into the quote, with a Core Web Vitals report on your own domain and a lab test you can repeat yourself.
Service providers have a microenterprise exemption at fewer than 10 staff and no more than 2 million euros of annual turnover. E-commerce and consumer-facing services are the categories most often in scope. Whether your specific offering falls under it is a question for your legal adviser, and we will say plainly if we think the work is not worth doing for you yet.
No. A script that adds a toolbar changes none of what EN 301 549 actually tests: keyboard operability, focus order, labels, error messages, contrast and structure. Those are fixed in the code or they are not fixed at all.
Only the report can answer that, which is why the audit comes first from €900 and the remediation is quoted out of it, with effort per finding at a fixed price. On sites we built ourselves, findings that came from our own work are fixed at no cost.
One to two weeks, depending on how many flows are tested. You receive the report as a document you own, not as access to a tool you then have to interpret yourself.
We document the level of conformance at the time of testing and fix what we found. After that, every new page and image can change it again, which is why re-checks belong in the care plan. A permanent guarantee without ongoing testing would not be an honest one.
No. We provide measurement, remediation, documentation and a draft conformance statement. Whether and how far the law applies to you, and the final wording of the statement, is approved by your legal adviser.
Tell us a little about your idea or business and we'll reply with a plan and a quote, no obligation.
