Terms of service
These terms apply to every project we build. They are written to be read in five minutes, not to surprise you later.
Who they apply to
These terms apply between you as the client and Pluton Studio as the contractor, for any work that starts from a written quote we send.
The individual quote always prevails: where a signed quote says something different from this page, the quote wins.
The contract and the scope
Our work is a work contract: we deliver a defined result, not hours. The scope is written into the quote, item by item, and the fixed price covers that scope.
Any addition or change is quoted separately and starts only once you confirm it in writing, email included. There are no surprise invoices: if you did not approve it, it was not built.
Two rounds of design revisions are included. Further rounds are new work and are quoted as such.
Payment
Payment is by bank transfer in euro against an invoice. Work starts once the first payment is in.
- We never ask to be paid in full up front.
- Each invoice states its due date; a late payment can pause the work until it is settled.
- Third-party costs such as domains, hosting or licences are passed through at cost, with no hidden markup.
| Project value | Instalments |
|---|---|
| Up to €3,000 | 50% at the start, 50% at go-live |
| Above €3,000 | Three milestones tied to concrete deliverables |
Delivery windows
The windows we publish are realistic targets counted from the day we have what we need, not from the day you sign: business website 3 to 5 weeks, online store 5 to 8 weeks, web app or custom software a first working version within 4 to 6 weeks.
Keeping them needs your cooperation: content, access and answers within five working days. If waiting for material takes longer, the date moves by the same amount and we tell you in advance rather than at the end.
Acceptance
At go-live we hand the work over for acceptance. You have 10 working days to report, in writing, anything that does not match the scope in the quote. We fix those within an agreed window.
If nothing is reported within those 10 working days, or if you put the work into productive use, it counts as accepted. That does not affect your statutory rights for defects that appear later.
Warranty
Any defect found within 30 days of go-live is fixed at no cost. This is a commercial promise on top of your statutory rights, not instead of them. Small content changes such as text, photos and prices are included in the same 30 days.
The warranty covers our work. It does not cover changes you or someone else makes to the code, outages at third-party providers, or new requirements that were never in scope.
Intellectual property
From day one you hold a full licence to use what we build, and the code lives in your repository from the first commit. On final payment, all proprietary rights in the code, the design and the materials produced for the project transfer to you, without limit in time or territory.
Open-source components and third-party materials such as fonts, licensed photography or libraries remain the property of their authors and are used under their own licences. We list these at handover.
We keep the right to show the work as a case study, with your consent. If you would rather it stayed private, saying so is enough.
Hosting and care
Care after launch is optional and is not bundled into the project price. The terms, price and contents of the plans live on the website care plans page and apply only if you choose a plan.
Domain and hosting accounts are registered in your name. If you leave, you keep them and we hand over every credential without friction.
Confidentiality
Everything you tell us about your business, from numbers to plans, stays between us, during the engagement and after it. If you have your own NDA, we sign it.
Personal data you entrust to us is handled under the privacy policy; where you are a controller under the GDPR, we also sign a data processing agreement.
Agency clients
When we work under your brand as an agency, we do not approach your clients, during the engagement or after it. We do not sell to them, write to them, or name them as our references without your written permission.
The work ships unbranded wherever that is what you need: no credit line, no back link, no trace.
Liability and force majeure
We are liable for damage we cause culpably, up to the value of the project as quoted. We are not liable for lost profit, for loss of data you held without a backup, or for outages at third-party providers.
This cap does not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, nor where the law does not permit a limitation.
Events outside our control, such as prolonged power or network outages, natural disasters, war or acts of state, move the deadlines for as long as they last, with no liability on either side.
Governing law and jurisdiction
As a default, the law of the Republic of Kosovo applies and the courts of Prishtina have jurisdiction.
For clients in Switzerland or Germany, the individual contract can agree otherwise, up to Swiss or German law and the client's own venue. That is a matter for negotiation case by case, not an automatic right, and it applies only when it is written into the contract.
Language versions
These terms exist in Albanian, English and German. For clients in Kosovo the Albanian version applies; for international clients, in case of doubt, the English version governs.
If one clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that clause is replaced by the closest lawful rule.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to sign a separate contract?
The signed quote is the contract. Larger projects add a short document that fixes the scope and the milestones. If you have your own contract template, we read it and sign it.
What happens if I change my mind mid-project?
We quote the change before we build it, with its price and its effect on the date. You decide whether it goes in now or waits for a second phase. Nothing is invoiced without your approval.
Is the code really mine?
Yes. From day one it sits in your repository under a full licence to use, and on final payment every proprietary right transfers to you. No mandatory subscription, no locked code.
Do you maintain the site after launch?
Only if you want us to. Plans and prices are on the website care plans page. Without a plan the site remains entirely yours and fully functional.
What if the delay is on my side?
Delivery windows count from the moment we have the material. If waiting for content or access takes longer, the date moves by the same amount and we tell you in advance, with no penalty.
