What every site we build includes

A quote is easy to compare on price and hard to compare on what is actually inside it. This page is the list: the standards every site we build meets before it goes live, and how you can check each one yourself.

01

A performance budget, not a promise

Every build ships against a written budget. We measure it on your own domain with Google's own tools and hand you the report on launch day, and a page that misses the budget is fixed before launch, not after you notice.

The budget holds because of how the site is built: server-rendered pages, images compressed at build time, local fonts, and no page builder shipping code nobody asked for. Measured on a mid-range phone over a normal mobile connection, every page ships inside these limits:

  • Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds
  • Interaction to Next Paint under 200 milliseconds
  • Cumulative Layout Shift under 0.1
02

Accessibility as the baseline, not an add-on

Every site is built on correct document structure: one h1, headings in order, landmarks, labelled form fields, visible focus states and text contrast that meets WCAG 2.1 AA. Meaningful images get alt text, decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.

The whole site works from the keyboard alone, which is also the structure search engines read.

That is the baseline, not a certificate. A full audit, a conformance statement and remediation under the European Accessibility Act are separate work: see accessibility and the European Accessibility Act.

03

Security that comes from what we do not install

The site is served over HTTPS with a certificate that renews itself, and ships with security headers set: content security policy, strict transport security, frame and content-type protection.

Dependencies are pinned, updated and monitored for known vulnerabilities. The code is application code we wrote and can read, not a page builder carrying twenty plugins from twenty authors, which is where most compromised sites come in.

04

An SEO foundation from day one

Every page ships with its own title and description, a canonical URL, Open Graph and structured data, so search engines and the AI systems now answering on their behalf can read it correctly.

Multilingual sites get hreflang pairs in both directions and a language-correct sitemap; single-language sites get the sitemap and robots rules anyway.

The HTML carrying your content is in the first response, not assembled by JavaScript afterwards, so a crawler sees the same page your visitor sees.

05

Ownership: repository, domain and accounts in your name

The domain is registered to you, or stays where it already is. The repository is yours and we work inside it. Hosting, analytics, email and payment accounts are opened under your company, with us added as collaborators you can remove.

Content exports in a standard format at any time, and no subscription is attached to the code: if you stop working with us, the site keeps running and someone else can pick it up.

06

Documentation and a real handover

At launch you get a written handover: where everything lives, which accounts exist, how to publish content, how to restore a backup and who to contact when something breaks. Not a folder of screenshots.

We walk through it on a call, recorded if you want it, so the next person on your team can watch instead of guessing. Editable content stays editable: whatever you wanted to manage yourself is wired to an editor.

07

Privacy by design

No third-party trackers are added by default. Analytics stays first-party where that is possible, and any tool that sets a cookie or sends data elsewhere is named, agreed with you and placed behind consent before it ships.

Where the law or your own customers require it, the database and file storage run in the EU, and a data-processing agreement is available on request: see data processing agreement.

08

Aftercare: 30 days, then your choice

The first 30 days after launch are covered by the warranty: anything that does not work the way the accepted scope says it works is fixed at no cost. Small content changes such as text, photos and prices are included in those 30 days as well.

After that, keeping a site fast and secure is ongoing work and we sell it plainly: website care plans start with hosting, backups, updates and monitoring. Not taking a plan is a perfectly good answer, and everything stays yours either way.

09

How we prove each one

A standard you cannot measure is advertising. Every proof below is something you can run yourself, with free tools.

Every standard here is verified by you, not by us.
StandardHow we prove it
Performance budgetA Core Web Vitals report on your own domain at launch, plus a lab run you can repeat.
AccessibilityAn automated scan with no critical issues, plus a keyboard pass through every page template.
SecurityHTTPS with auto-renewal, a security-header check you can run yourself, dated dependency updates.
SEO foundationIndexable HTML, a live sitemap, structured data validated in the Rich Results Test.
OwnershipDomain, repository and accounts registered in your name before launch.
HandoverA written handover document and a walkthrough call that can be recorded.
PrivacyA written list of every external service the site talks to, and a data-processing agreement on request.
Aftercare30 days of warranty in the contract, then a plan with a written response time.

What we put in writing

These are not marketing lines. They are the terms that go into every quote we send, so you know exactly what you get and when.

01

A reply within one working day

Every message is answered by the engineer who will build the project, not by a salesperson. The fixed written quote follows within two working days of the first call.

02

A fixed, written, final price

The quote lists everything included, and the price you sign is the price you pay. Scope changes are quoted separately, before they happen.

03

Delivery windows we keep

Business website: 3 to 5 weeks. Online store: 5 to 8 weeks. Web app or custom software: a first working version within 4 to 6 weeks, the rest on a written plan.

04

Design approved before we build

You see and approve the design on screen before a line of code is written. Two rounds of design revisions are included, and so are small content changes such as text, photos and prices for 30 days after launch.

05

Payment in two halves

Half at the start, half at go-live. Projects above three thousand euros are split into three milestones tied to deliverables, never paid in full up front.

06

Everything is yours from day one

Domain, accounts and content are registered in your name, and the code lives in your repository from the first commit under a full licence to use it. Every remaining right transfers on final payment. No mandatory subscription, no locked code, no hostage situation.

07

A 30-day warranty and measured performance

Any defect found within 30 days of launch is fixed at no cost. The site ships inside the performance budget written into the quote, with a Core Web Vitals report on your own domain and a lab test you can repeat yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Do these standards cost extra?

No. This is what a site costs to build properly, so they sit inside every quote instead of being sold as upgrades. Only work with a scope of its own, like a full accessibility audit or a migration, is quoted separately.

What if the site misses the performance budget after launch?

We fix it. A page that falls out of the budget inside the 30-day warranty is a defect. After that, a care plan keeps it measured every month.

Does WCAG 2.1 AA mean the site complies with the European Accessibility Act?

No. The AA structure is the baseline and most of the work, but conformance needs an audit, a statement and testing with assistive technology. That is quoted separately.

Can I really move the site somewhere else?

Yes. The repository, the domain and the accounts are yours, the content exports and the stack is standard. We have handed projects over before and we do not make it uncomfortable.

Do you use page builders and plugins?

No. We build in code (Next.js, React, TypeScript), which is exactly what makes the performance and security promises above possible to keep.

Do these standards apply to a small site too?

Yes. A five-page site gets the same budget, the same structure and the same ownership terms. The amount of work changes, the standard does not.
