Website design for BioLand, lakeside villas in Novobërdë

We designed and built bioland-ks.eu for eight timber villas and a restaurant on a lake in Novobërdë, an hour's walk from the fortress. The logo draws itself as the site opens, torn paper rises over the brand film, every page turns like a torn sheet, the site speaks English, Albanian and German, and every Book button opens the villas' booking page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the BioLand website built with?

Next.js and React in TypeScript. The page motion runs on the browser's own Web Animations, the gallery on Motion, and Lenis smooths the scroll. Every page in all three languages is prepared ahead of time.

How does the BioLand logo draw itself?

The badge is stored as a sequence of pen strokes and drawn on forest green in about two and a half seconds when the site opens, then the green sheet lifts off the page. The footer draws it again when you reach it. On a device set to reduce motion, the finished mark simply appears.

How do guests book a villa?

Every Book button, in the header, on the home page, on each villa's page and on the Novobërdë page, opens BioLand's booking page on thelobbyboy, the hotel system from Prishtina, where the guest picks dates and a house. The booking goes straight to BioLand.

Which languages does the BioLand site speak?

English at the root, Albanian under /sq and German under /de, with the same addresses below each. Every page tells search engines about its two translations, and the brand film has its own voice-over and subtitles in each language.

Does a website with a full-screen film still load fast?

Yes. The photos are made ahead as AVIF and WebP files, so no image is resized on request. The film is offered in AV1 only where the device can decode it smoothly in hardware, and in HEVC or H.264 everywhere else. On a device set to reduce motion, the poster stands in for the film.

Can you build a website like this for my villas or guesthouse?

Tell us about your place and you get a free, fixed written quote within two working days.
