How much does a website cost in Albania in 2026?

The price of a website follows the work inside it: the pages, the design, the features, the languages and the SEO. A business in Albania also has a few things the law asks for, especially once the site takes orders or payments. This guide covers both, with the official sources checked on 23 September 2026.

TL;DR

At Pluton Studio a business website starts from €700, about 64,000 lek at the official rate on 23 September 2026, and goes live within 3 to 5 weeks; online stores start from €1,500. The first year of hosting and maintenance is included; after it you pay for the domain, hosting and whatever maintenance you agree. If the site sells, every order goes out with an invoice fiscalised in real time, and the site must show the business's name, address, email and NIPT.

Pluton Studio builds websites from €700.

01

The short answer

With us, a business website starts from €700, an online store from €1,500 and a web app from €3,000. At the Bank of Albania's official rate on 23 September 2026, €1 = 91.46 lek, that is about 64,000, 137,000 and 274,000 lek. Our quote and our invoice are in euros.

The starting price applies to sites built from scratch, not on a template. From there the price follows the scope, and you get your figure as a fixed written quote within two working days of one call. For the Kosovo market, see what a website costs in Kosovo.

02

What sets the price

Two sites with five pages each can cost very differently. The difference comes from these choices:

DesignA few pages sharing one structureMany pages, each with its own layout
ContentYour texts and photos are readyTexts are written and photos prepared from scratch

What is included when we build it

Our quote is a written list of what gets built and what you pay at each stage: half at the start, half at launch. Every site we build meets our standards:

  • A design for your brand, approved on screen before any code is written, with two rounds of revisions.
  • Technical SEO and speed inside a written budget, with a report on your own domain.
  • Hosting and maintenance for the first 12 months from launch (how it works).
  • Small content changes, such as text, photos and prices, for 30 days after launch.
  • A 30-day warranty: any defect is fixed at no cost.
  • Domain, accounts and content in your name, with no mandatory subscription.
04

What it costs per month

The build is paid once, not every month, and in the first year hosting and maintenance are included in the price. A well-built site needs little maintenance. As the first year draws to a close, we agree how the service continues, and the domain and the data stay yours. After the first year these items remain:

The NIPT and the details the site must show

Every business in Albania registers with the National Business Center, online through e-Albania (QKB), and on registration receives its unique identification number, the NUIS/NIPT.

When the site sells or offers services online, the law on electronic commerce (No. 10128/2009, Article 7) requires it to show clearly the trade name, the address of the registered office, an email address or another fast way to get in touch, the commercial register details and the NIPT. Prices must be clear and final, with taxes and delivery costs included.

Even a presentation site that sells nothing earns trust by showing these in the footer of every page.

06

Online orders and the fiscalised invoice

In Albania, under Law No. 87/2019 on invoices, every sale goes out with a fiscalised invoice. Invoices are reported to the tax administration in real time, each one receives a unique identification number (NIVF), and its registration can be checked by scanning the QR code on the invoice (the official Q&A).

For a site that takes orders, fiscalisation is part of the order flow, not a later add-on. For orders placed in an online store or an app, the invoice does not have to be printed on paper: it can be sent to the buyer by email or as an electronic invoice.

To issue electronic invoices a business needs an electronic certificate and certified software; the tax administration publishes the list of certified providers. Card payments run through your bank's virtual POS; the bank's deadlines and requirements are in Albania's POS mandate.

Tax questions about your own case, such as VAT or your business category, are for your accountant; this page covers only the part that touches the website.

07

The .al domain

The .al domain is administered by AKEP, and under AKEP's regulation it is registered through registrars it has authorised. A .al name can be registered by businesses and individuals from Albania and from any other country, while .com.al is reserved for businesses registered in Albania.

If you also sell outside Albania, a .com works just as well, and you can hold both and point one at the other. Whichever you choose, the domain is registered in your name, and the registrar sets the yearly price.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a simple website cost in Albania?

With us it starts from €700, about 64,000 lek at the official rate on 23 September 2026. The exact price depends on the pages, design, features and languages, and you get it as a fixed written quote.

How much does a website cost per month in Albania?

The build is paid once. The first year of hosting and maintenance is included; after it you pay for the domain every year, hosting and maintenance as agreed, and email if you use it on your own domain.

Do I have to show my NIPT on the website?

If the site sells or offers services online, yes: the law on electronic commerce requires the trade name, address, email, registration details and NIPT. For a presentation site it is good practice.

Do online orders have to be fiscalised?

Yes. Every sale goes out with an invoice fiscalised in real time, with an NIVF and a QR code, and for online orders the invoice can be sent to the buyer by email or as an electronic invoice.

Which domain is better, .al or .com?

For customers in Albania, .al makes the country clear; .com.al is only for businesses registered in Albania, and .com suits you if you also sell abroad. You can hold both and point one at the other.

Do you work with businesses in Albania from Kosovo?

Yes. We work remotely from Prishtina, in Albanian and English, we invoice in euros, and meetings are online.

How long does it take?

A business website goes live within 3 to 5 weeks, an online store within 5 to 8 weeks. Getting card payments switched on at the bank runs in parallel and depends on the bank.
